there's a whole lot of manga in japan that has stories or concepts
based on samurai culture. i for one am making my own.. ^o^

hmn..i see, dont think i've seen or read one. most comics based on
samurai culture i've read is basically fictional. well i am making my
own and the timeline is set on the period where two of the most
honorable samurais clashed. my characters purely fictional though i've
done a lot of research for it and i need to research some more. well,
good luck to me ^o^

One of my favoirte authors does his writing from the perspective of various characters

graphics and inking that it will be almost as great as the kingdom come
series thats what i mean when i talk about a comic series that is

You have set yourself an admirable goal. Just plain history is too
often overlooked in film and other media. However if you are open to
suggestion I wouldn't use Marvel comics as your model. I would look
to Frank Miller or his inspiration; Koike Kazuo.

Good luck. Alex Ross is considered by many to be the top painter/illustrator in Western comics today. If you put, say, twenty years into studying and practicing drawing, who knows what could happen?
By the way, the series Kingdom Come is produced by DC Comics (home of Superman and Batman), not Marvel.

Although comics are principally considered a visual medium,
there *is* text.

May I suggest you put off doing a comic until you can learn
to use punctuation, capitalization, syntax, and grammar
properly, and NOT to write one lone run-on sentence?

u see i know a guy in defiance ohio in the US that i live bye and he
needs ideas for a comic and im trying to help him

his name is Dave Miller and thoughs of u that dont know who he is he
does some drawings for dc comics. i made a deal with him if i find some
posible ideas for drawings i could write the storys. but i wanted to
base it upon actual events and battles thats y i been askin i need many
ideas from u that i can use in the creation of this series

No.

If you are in too much of a hurry to write sentences correctly, then you
are intoo much of a hurry to do the research necessary. (THAT is assuming it
IS hurry and not laziness). This mailing list is not people to do your work
for you. It is for people who are interested in the history of the samurai
to share and compare thier research.
What have you contributed? Or if you are very young, what do you hope to
contribute when YOU know more.
