Japanese books - ebay

by kitsuno

I need to buy some Japanese history books, so I'm selling off a couple
things people might be interested in here so I can get some book money:

100 people of Japan - Oda Nobunaga:
http://tinyurl.com/g2ypg

This is the first issue of a series of full color books (on the high
quality glossy paper) on 100 people who changed the history of Japan.
Obviously this one is about Nobunaga - I have 2 available to bid on,
so in other words two people can win them. The book is pretty large,
measuring about 12 inches by 9 inches.

Oda Nobunaga - by Kazuya Kudo:
http://tinyurl.com/z8huj

This one is the first issue of a historical manga covering the life of
Nobunaga, starting in 1560 before the battle of Okehazama. Both links
have more details.

Anyway, yoroshiku!

Sounds like a great book I might want to buy from you. I'm in a Japan
history reading group

www.nihonshi.org/

and for the group I just finished reading another great biography of
Nobunaga, called Japonius Tyrannus, by Lamers.

The reading group is open for new members, if anyone is interested.

One of the books in the series is about Saigo Takamori, it is number 11:

I don't have that issue, but here is the webpage for the entire
series: http://www.de-club.net/nhy/

Thanks. Is there an English summary or is the entire book in Japanese (if
it's the latter then I'm out of luck).

Re: Japanese books - ebay

We are down to the last 18 hours of the Ebay auction for the book "100
people of Japan - Oda Nobunaga". There are two copies available, so
there can be two winners, or one if you want both copies:

100 people of Japan - Oda Nobunaga:

Re: Japanese books - ebay

by kitsuno

I have to relist one of the below books because of a "non-paying
bidder" (AKA scumbag, bastard, jerk, etc.), so here are the details:

Oda Nobunaga, by Kazuya Kudo
http://tinyurl.com/pl3lg

This is the first issue of the manga series "Oda Nobunaga" by Kazuya Kudo.

The first issue covers the events leading up to and immediately
following the battle of Okehazama, and is historical fiction. No
flying ninja or magic spells, it is a dramatization of the life of Oda
Nobunaga.

The manga is protected by a full color glossy dustcover, and the manga
itself is black and white with 208 pages. It is standard manga size,
approx. 6x8 inches, and is in good condition, barely any shelf wear.
The manga is in Japanese, imported from Japan.

Enjoy!
