nobukados end- for anthony and everybody else

by shinobij

Hey,

I'm just asking the same question as I did before as
Anthony asked (sorry its taken me this long but I've
been away from a computer):

I'm confused about how Takeda Nobukado died. According
to some sources he died fighting at Nagashino (as far
as I remember Turbull's Sourcebook implies this as do
other sites and I'm pretty sure he dies there is
Kurosawa's Kagemusha) however according to the Samurai
archives he dies when captured by Nobunaga's troops in
1852.

I'm hope this isn't just a splip up or a mis-read from
me. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for reminding me.

I'm just starting to get back to the e-mail (and I have a hellacious
backlog!), and am getting the books out.

According to the Sengoku jinmei jiten, he was killed in 1582 during
Nobunaga's attack on Kai.

Kote attachement

by takayama_hara

Do the Kote attach to the Do or to the manchira?

Thanks

Michael

RE: [samuraihistory] Kote attachement

Michael,

Of course it depends on what kind of kote. Earlier designs crossed the
body. Assuming a sengoku jidai harness they usually are attached to toggles
on the watagami.
