samurai battle formations

Hello,
Does anyone know where i can get info. and pics about samurai
battle formations? I'd like to know what it looked like and what
kind of troop types were used and where. Thanks.

The website takes it from Turnbull's books. It's some
kind of gaming site, maybe STW--but at least it shows
you the pictures. Turnbull's "Samurai Sourcebook"
gives the legend for the pictures, as to what kind of
units they are.

Here's a list, no pictures. I skimmed it, didn't read
it all, but it seems okay--though the sword advertised
at the bottom gives me reason for pause. If they can
advertise that monstrosity, I hope it's for the ad
money, and not an indicator of the website creator's
knowledge. Cripes.

If you speak Japanese, have a look at "Nihon SenJin SaHou JiTen"
日本戦陣作法事典 by Sasama Yoshihiko 笹間良彦.

It has a small section on formations, but it's very imformative.
