Hagakure crest ?

I just finished reading the 'Hagakure' by Yamamoto Tsunemoto , and I
was wondering what the signifigance of the crest on the cover of the
book was. Is it a family crest or some sort of symbol for something?
If anyone could answer my question I would greatly appreciate it.

Unfortunately I can not answer your question regarding the crest, but I
too have just read the book (for the fifth time i think..) an I LOVE IT!!
So, hwat I would like to knowe is wether someone has a recommendation for
a book along the same kind of line - maybe something more on the art af
warfare and tactics...??
