I mean, did the Japanese version of the matchlock was much more improved and can fire a ball farther than its' European parent?
I saw in Discovery Channel in reenactments of samurai battles that the Japanese matchlocks were bulkier and stubbier compared to the long, slim barrels of the traditional European muskets.
Can anybody here enlighten me on this?
