For some reason. I still can't compose a message with Rich-text. So, I've uploaded the
message to savefile.com today. Details need to be changed are in red.

PS. I'm still working on the Okita Rintaro article.

About the last paragraph on http://www.shinsengumihq.com/
OkitaSoujirobackground.htm, Okita became the "??" ("School Head") at the Shieikan in
1861, not an "Assistant Instructor" ("???.") (Oji, p.48) More info could be found on the
Yamanami Keisuke discussion page at Wikipedia (since I can't type any kanji here.)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Yamanami_Keisuke

I've decided to translate "??" as "Head Coach" to avoid confusion with "??" ("Director" -
Kondo Isami's position at the time.) I'm afraid it couldn't be interpreted as "Assistant
Instructor" in any case.

About the translation of "Jukutou", it's translated as "head teacher" (regarding Sakamoto)
in the PMK anime and "head of the school" in the PMK manga. In "Shinsengumi : the
Shogun's Last Samurai Corps" by Romulus Hillsborough, it's also written "Okita Soji: genius
swordsman, head of the Shieikan..."

I've decided to keep "Head Coach (Jukutou) at the Shieikan" in the Okita article and use
"Head Teacher (Jukutou) at the Shieikan" in the Yamanami article at Wikipedia. I really
would like to avoid translating "Jukutou" as "Head of School."

However, I'd have no objection if the SHQ decided to use "head of the school". (Just don't
use "assistant instructor", please.)

As mentioned on previous posts and during personal emails to you we
asked you to just tell us what you wanted on that page. So for some
reason either you forgot to put this on a list? I'm sorry it should be
corrected right away.

Even with minor details such as changing your pen name, was done
immediately or within the hour of your request.

Just right now, the pages are undergoing conversion to a different
format for easier navigation---so as soon as that is done by two
volunteers, then the correction will be done as soon as possible. I
can't do anything because of this ongoing process.

So thank you for bringing this up---but we did stick to what you told
us---and if you recall I emailed you right away to inform you when
your corrections went live.

http://www.shinsengumihq.com/OkitaSoujiro.htm
under the "background" section

[first version]
In 1861, Okita became the Head Coach (assistant instructor) at the
Shieikan. Even though he was
often commented to be honest, polite, and good-natured by those around
him, he was
also known to be a strict and quick-tempered teacher to his students.
(Mori 27 - 28)

[new version corrected by seven]

Mori, citations from seven as well

If you have more corrections let me know on the list or off-list, I
just cut and paste your edits.

No, I didn't forget to put that on the list. I didn't realized that the SHQ had decided to use
"assistant instructor" in place of the kanji that couldn't be displayed properly. As soon as I
noticed it, I posted the following message.

Of course, I should've just used "Jukutou" in place of its kanji to begin with.
Thanks a lot for making the correction. :)
