Nagakura and the graves

by shimazuryu

It pretty much says "Matsumoto Ryojun and Nagakura Shinpachi work to
make graves for Kondou Isami and Hijikata Toshizou." As for the "you",
it's a kanji I've never seen before, so I'm going to have to ask one
of my senpai (senior classmates). By the way, my guess is that
Matsumoto Ryojun was a Buddhist monk. The name "Ryojun" seems to me to
be Buddhist monk-like.

Maybe Anji the Destroyer took another name?? :-) I've always been
fond of the idea that Anji bumped into Nagakura in Hokkaido.

Matsumoto Ryojun was a physician (THE physician,
actually) for the Shogun and one of the few supporters
of the Shinsengumi after Yoshinobu's Zettai Kyojun.

Whoops... sorry for using those Japanese terms -_- Bad
habit of mine -_-

Zettai Kyojun was the "stance" (so to speak) of
Yoshinobu, meaning "Total Obedience". In this case,
total obedience to whatever order that the Ishin
government sent him.

Sorry again...
