Yamamoto Tatewaki

by shimazuryu

Just posted in "Illustrations"-- Yamamoto Tatewaki, general of the
Nagaoka forces, who fought to the last, and past the fall of his
domain, having been beheaded in Aizu (during the siege/battle) on
September 9, 1868.

M. is there a photo of Yamamoto Tatewaki or this from your imagination?
Good work as always from someone who can actually write their names in
Japanese:)

Yes, there is actually a photo of him. I posted it in the SHQ's
"Shinsengumi and Related People" section of the "Photos" section.

I've also just posted under this groups "Illustrations", a picture of
a cavalry officer. It's an image I've had in my head for quite some
time now...I know this sounds weird, but I feel like I was there.
