Does anyone know where I can find a complete listing of the 47 ronin?  I found a listing of 33 of the names in an article "Swords of the 47 Ronin" by Albert Yamanaka.

Most Japanese Historical sites about the event have pictures of the name board (at their grave site?) which list them...

As far as a list in Roman Letters (English)--- no idea. But, simply look up the event on Japanese sites and you will find that board eventually. Seriously.. time yourself.. it should take about 5 minutes tops.

Hi

I believe there iss a full list in this book.

Allyn,
J. (1970). The 47 Ronin story. North Clarendon,
Vermont: Tuttle Publishing: An Imprint of Periplus Editions (HK) Ltd.

Its 'faction', in that he took the known facts and added fiction in the form of dialogue to make a novel but i think he has a list in the back, i don't have it with me to check though.

The Allyn novel does not provide a list of the 47. Also, only a few of the
major participants are mentioned in the text.

There's a plaque hanging in the Sengakuji Temple with all 47 Ronin's names on it, if you can read japanese or know someone who can translate it for you. :
