Hello to everyone, I don´t know about actual samurai. But about the sword,
there are no one "best", the best or top sword maker of the history was
Masamune, follow by Muramasa, both in different styles, the nihon-to allways
as been made of Tamahagane steel (basically), Check to see a photo

Just to be a bit picky, Masamune may popularly and generally be considered
to be the best ever swordsmith and is certainly the most famous, but
Muramasa could not be described as the second best by any stretch of the
imagination and he was not connected to Masamune in any way, his swords just
had a bloodthirsty reputation.
