Hi.

Why don't you high yourself down to a library, obtain a library card,
and have them get real books for you? You can learn a lot more about
Japan from books published by Princeton, Cornell, Harvard, &c. than you
are likely to from somebody's free e-book. Then you can learn Japanese,
if you haven't already, and read books put out by serious Japanese
publishers as well. And, yes, you can get Japanese books through
interlibrary loan. I have done it in the past. For that matter, there
are lots of Tuttle books which are fairly inexpensive.

Best advice yet! Get thee to a library....

One hour spent in a good library is better than one week spent on the
internet for non-ephemeral subjects. Unless of course you're checking
out library catalogs or academic journals online ;)

You get what you pay for, unless you don't pay taxes, then in the case
of libraries you get far more, which is alright by me!

Should take a mere four or five years of serious study...

Glad you said "free" ebook. Ebooks are my chosen way of publishing for several reasons which I won't bother with, but a good ebook is no different than a good hard copy book

Hi! Just real glad ur talking about ebook - its importance to us...
For me, this has of real value. At this age of computers, it becomes
very convenient for us to just view or read whatever we wish to thru
the monitor... no need to bring or take with us hardcopies of
anything. In our offices, in our homes, or wherever pc is available,
especially laptops this time have become so part of us... accessing
each word, each picture, each important info, each lesson... becomes
so easy... Have a wonderful day!

By the way, could anyone, perhaps, care to share me such ebook? Thanks!

When I think of Ebooks, I think of here:
http://www.ereader.com/
It is basicaly the amazon.com of Ebooks - they are just digital
versions of books that exist in print. Nothing wrong with that. I love
them, I occasionaly buy one to read on my palm pilot when I'm on the
bus or killing time at work. I don't think any of the good classic
japanese history books from the major universities are available
though, at least not yet.

Hi,

I am using Microsoft Reader & E-Reader on PDA to read my ebooks, by that I can store many e-books and bring them in my PDA anywhere I go and read 'em without having to carry heavy hard cover books. I am still searching some interesting samurai e-books.

You can download some free e-books here:
