by samuraistevex

I am reading a story ofan event in 1701 in Edo (Tokyo) about a feudal lord who rebels and his Samurai kill everyone and refuse to give up and choose to die for their lord. Any thoughts or useful info I can use would be apprecaisted (I am writing a Literary essay on it) If anyone has any info please do share =] (Yes I am new to the group and I must say it is extremely interesting and a pleasure to meeet you all)

You just missed an exchange about this a few weeks ago. Perhaps you can
access the previous postings at Yahoo.

I would strongly recommend a series of articles in last years Monumenta
Nipponica starting with issue 58:1. The first by Henry Smith was a general
overview, the second by Bito Masahide is a history of the incident. More
articles on other aspects of the story are promised.
