samurai statue

I recently got an email from someone who wants to know who the
samurai statue is outside the imperial palace in tokyo in or near the
gardens. the statue is of a samurai on a horse. It's been about 4
years since I've been there and I don't remember any statue... does
anyone know who this is a statue of?

I believe it's Kusunoki Masashige, a loyalist who died fighting for an
imperial restoration in the 14th Century.

I think that I remember the staue being of Kusonoki Masashige (the large
'green' statue on horseback?) I could be mistaken but that is the main one
that I know of in Tokyo. (and outside the Imperial palace)
