looking for a reference..............

Hello to all....I once read a book on the japanese philosophy of
victory trough defeat...It was written by an english(I think)
historian of Japanese clture, can't remenber the name sonething
gibson..anyhow, the book goes from the early times to the kamikaze
pilots....I been trying to locate it to no avail, Maybe I have the
wrong tiltle for it, I think its name...the victory of defeat...I
checked through the internet and my local library system out here in
texas, and nothing,,,,the state of florida, where I read the book
once, can't find it neither, I mean Dade county pub;lic library...if
anyone out there knows of this pleaseeeeeeeeeee
