My name is Susilowati. Now I live on Biak - Papua Indonesia. I want
to make a friendship with all of you. I found old samurai that I want
information from you or somebody else. clasification my samurai is
1617 year. It has length 134 cm dan it has two small knife also.
I can send you the picture of it after you reply my email.

Hi All

I was windering while I was washing and ironing the
other day...

Did the Japanese in fuedal times have irons.

If not how did they manage to get there kimono hakama
etc pressed, and those cresses in the hakama etc in
place.

After all silk always looks creased to death when it
dries.

Nice to hear from you, but I don`t know very much about samurai swords.
I like handle them look at the art work on them and work out with them a
little. And I would like very much to see a picture of your sword.
We visit Malaysia every five years to see relatives.

I think we care for Hakama the same way now as then. Fold them up after
use and press them in hot or cold water, hang dry with the creases in place
all along.
I have also heard that one placed them under your futon where body heat
would do the job of "ironing"
