Hi

I have a question that I am unable to get an answer to.

How does a non-Japanese get a 'mon' family crest?

Neil

Well-- you can always just make one up and pass it down to your kids.. etc.etc.

 OR

You can marry a Japanese person and take on their family's crest..

I mean.. those are really your only two options.

Japanese Crest

by greatpowers

I would think that a crest maker would be willing to make you one.
I can get a Hanko with my family name on it, and hanko`s are used at banks etc--for official documents. A hanko is perhaps more important
than a crest--especially for official business.
