For anyone interested, you all are welcome to see pics from my years in
Japan. Just visit me on Facebook -- look for R. Michael Burns. All my Japan
pics are public, so you don't have to add me to your friends list to see
them. Along with many pictures of contemporary Japan, I have some really
nice pics from Kyoto and Himeji-jo, as well as a pretty cool pic of a Samurai
battle re-enactor on a train.

Tony...

Hmmm... I DO have a degree in philosophy, which makes a very nice
placemat and gives me a university-backed authority to doubt things, so it sounds
like you probably found me... Not sure why you couldn't find my pics.
They are in my older albums (newer ones are of Florida keys, Everglades, etc.)
I'm pretty sure they're public, as other people have been able to find
them. Perhaps I'll try to send a link, if I can.

Vampire Coloradan -- yup.

Hmm, no idea why you couldn't see the pics, but let me see if I can fix
that for anyone who might be interested...

Hope that'll work for anyone who cares to see some of my favorite images
from my 4 1/2 years in Japan...

Enjoy!

As long as we are sharing pics... I have a collection of 6000 or so on Flickr. Several have been published. I love seeing everyone's photos of Japan--everyone sees things with a different set of  "eyes." Thanks for sharing~

Jonathan --

Amazing pictures -- thanks so much for sharing them. I especially love
the koi pic.

Ah, how I miss Japan.

Out of curiosity, where did you live and what did you do there?

I taught English in Kobe about 4-5 years ago. These days I just travel there as often as possible. Several of my Japan images have been published, so I try to keep snapping away and visiting new areas. Ive never been to Kyushu, so hopefully that will be the next batch of shots.

Im glad you liked them. Thanks for the kind words.
