family's record.
And the record has description like "Souji's child"

It would make some sense if the Tsuruoka that the record is located in is
the one also known as Shonai, as there was (an) Okita Rintaro who was under
Shonai-han patronage in the Shinchogumi.

From the blog, the temple is Jonenji and the description on the record is
"Okita Souji ko"沖田総司子
