Shinsengumi jackets??

This request came through the SHQ email account can
anyone help with ideas for sources?

<<<< are looking for a source of Shinsengumi Happi coats
that will fit the 6Ft, 250 Lb American. We desire to
use them as a team jacket for our Iaido and Kendo
teams.

Can you help us locate a source of quality heavy duty
(10oz plus) Shinsengumi happi coats?

I'm not sure those will be able to fit the size of the person described. I've seen one of those haori in person at AX and it's made for someone thats like 5'5". They might be able to have them custom made, but that would drive the price up quite a bit.

Hi!

If you check back about a month in the list archives, I asked a similar question before. Friendly people gave me a lot of help then, so those posts contain quite a bit about Hijikata's early life, including name and age of all his siblings.

Would also be interested in siblings' offspring though... I know he must have had at least one nephew, since there's still a Hijikata family in the Hino area who claim kinship with him. Also it's likely that any children would've come through his second eldest brother, Kiroku. As far as I remember it the eldest one, Tamajirou, was blind and hence disqualified from inheriting, and probably hard to marry off. The other brother I think was adopted by another family and changed his name.
