I was surprised that Shinsengumi fan are in USA.

If you would like to know whole of real history of Shinsengumi,
I recommend that you try to read Japanese books as below.
Most site of Shinsengumi in Japan include fictional stories
purposefully or in a blind way.

Director of National Museum of Japanese History is Mr. Miyaji not Mr.
Matsuura.
