In NHK official site, you can see an old map of Kyoto made in 1864 just
before Ikedaya affair.

You can locate some Shinsengumi related places from the legend on the border
on the left-hand.
You can simply place your cursor on the legend and can enlarge it with click.

*Panoramic view from Kiyomizu temple
*Great Sanjo bridge
*Mibu village: including Mibu Temple, Yagi Estate, Shintoku Temple
*Ponto cho street ( a kind of detached territory of Gion)
Clicking the asagi blue part of the bottom of flag, you can superpose the
actual Kyoto map.
