Dear Chuck
YES! The Rokumeikan was in the last scenes of Lady Snowblood! (^_^)
It was scandalous on many levels to the people of the time...women
dancing with foreigners and so forth. The newspapers had a field day
after each event. The Rokumeikan was also a feature film directed by
KON ICHIKAWA and a play written by YUKIO MISHIMA.
I highly recommend fanfic writers to look into the
Rokumeikan---history provides some pretty interesting backdrops to
stories.
::sigh:: the best part of the vid didn't survive (near the end)---I
grabbed images of waltzing folks from google, produced silhouettes and
animated them in different layers at different rates---really looked
like they were dancing.
Oh well--just 2 hrs down the drain
I would never recommend Windows movie maker to anyone who wishes to
make a music vid.
