Where is the 'Unleash your imagination' thingy went? first they forbade the NC 17, then they external links to our NC17 chapters (which of course can be circumvent with little effort, btw) and/or recourses about history or culture related to our stories, later the Author Notes as separate chapters, and now this. I agree that the earlier NC 17 purge was unfair but I'm wondering if
this and the other recent thing about getting rid of poetry--certain
poetry---whatever is more a way of trying to save space/bandwidth. I
have a feeling they got a hell of a lot bigger than they first imagined
and it's costing them more than they want to spend to have the equipment
and such to handle the traffic so they're going to cut every corner they
possibly can as long as they have some "viable" reason for it.

Well, so you are warned, beware of FF net new adding to their censor's scissors. They are out there just for you.

I have some stuff on Media Miner but it's such a PITA for me. It never
seems to work right and changing a password is a major adventure.
Adultff.net is even more of a pain because you have to jump through
multiple hoops to get anything to upload properly.

What about anime-fiction.net? Anyone know anything pro or con about
them? (I've had the link, but just haven't gotten around to checking
around the site.)

BTW, I need some clarification... Exactly what is chat and keyboard
dialogue?

phil (whose account may finally be behaving again...)

I think they mean the type of stuff teenagers seem to put in all the
time like little tacked on conversations with their characters or
co-writers:

TeenWriter: This is my first Saitou fanfic so you ppl better R&R or
I'll never write again!!!!!

Saitou: I will Gatotsu any ahou who reviews

TeenWriter: Ohhh Saitou-sama you wouldn't really would you *hugs him tight*

Saitou: Ahou...

I admit I thought of bandwidth and costs too, especially after their so called catastrophic failure of April 2. While there is certain legitimacy to this, I think the management has managed to put many of us at the defensive and having second thoughts after the NC 17 ban. I don't know, I can't help to having second thoughts about their real motives... Maybe the advertisement they have really don't cover the costs, I don't know, but the way they worded this little thing sounded... mmmm I don't know...
I wonder if the response to the reviewers can be considered as violation of the said TOS... At this rate we should be having a copy of the TOS at hand, including all the clarifications like this one >.<

hehe, I've heard a lot of people complaining about Media Miner. Honestly, I never had problems with it, problems which I did have with FF net (( like messing up format and changing the order of chapters >.<)
I had also my share of trouble with Adultfanfiction. I have just registered to anime-fiction (never heard of them before... Thanks for the tip), and I suppose I'll be uploading soon...
